Hagop Hagopian
Hagop Hagopian A certain special sense must awake in the artist, and with its help he will see what he has to paint. There is nothing connected with skill. This sixth sense is intrinsic only to the artist, and it needs time to mature and awake. I am trying to explain a condition that is difficult to describe by words. Some are occupied professionally with painting for years, but still remain on the level of a craftsman that performs an order. The image of Man excites me most of all in art., for everything in this short life - joy and sorrow, happiness and grief - depends on other people, in our terms with them. Being continuous to people, being in use, wearing out and changing, the objects take something from them.
