Joseph Karalov
Joseph Karalov "Take an old miller’s cane, its bent head all polished from the touch of his hand, deep amber from his sweat. A man with imagination looking at the head of the can will have a whole swarm of images, reminiscences and associations. Then go to a nearby store and ask for a new cane: no perception, the stick is mute. This is why any archaeological finding leaves you with so many impressions. These pieces encapsulate time and someone’s soul."
